B. HUSSEIN was strongly against the "failed Bush energy policy". But he took that position AFTER he voted FOR it.
B. HUSSEIN was for partial birth abortion. Then he was slightly against it. Now he won't say one way or the other.
B. HUSSEIN was against the recent tax rebates. To be honest so was I. But now he is in favor of an "energy rebate" in the form of a windfall profits tax on the oil companies. Does he really believe that tax won't be passed on to the consumer in the form of higher prices at the pump?
B. HUSSEIN took a stance on the Russian invasion of Georgia. In the past few days he has taken 2 other positions on the same issue.
The B. HUSSEIN camp has issued 6 completely different statements on his refusal to visit our wounded troops during his FOREIGN campain tour.
B. HUSSEIN came out in favor of a tax increase for the top 1 percent of income earners. Then it was the top 2 percent. Now it is up to the top 5 percent. The target seems to be moving.
B. HUSSEIN issued a very strong statement saying that he had NEVER been a Muslim. NEVER. Now that the truth came out he said he didn't think that far back should count.
Some VERY prominent members of the Democratic party have said that B. HUSSEIN lacks experience and was NOT ready to lead. I thought that was a no brainer.
If you would do a brief study on Socialism you would find some very disturbing similarities in some of the things B. HUSSEIN believes in. </div></div>
hes no better than john kerry when it comes to making up his mind and taking a stance

Re: Oil Crisis Over
im not sure which is scarier
the fact that this clown who is actually a candidate for the white house says that properly inflating you tires could save up to 50k barrels of oil per day........or the fact that we have idiots in this country who are stupid enough to buy into this nonsense
when you have idiots voting......we are screwed

Re: Oil Crisis Over
Okay I am gonna post this again and maybe, just maybe, you and others might get it.
According to the Energy Information Administration, if Congress lifted the moratorium on offshore drilling, by 2030, oil crude production in the "lower-48? outer continental shelf will increase by about 200,000 barrels per day. By contrast, the production offset based on Obama's proposal will likely approach 800,000 barrels per day, immediately.
It is a proven fact that it would work, but hey those aren't my numbers those are your governments.
Gallons of Oil per Barrel 42
Barrels of Oil per Metric Ton (U.S.) 7.33
U.S. Crude Oil Production 5,064,000 barrels/day
State Ranking of Crude Oil Production Texas - 1,087,000 barrels/day
U.S. Crude Oil Imports 10,031,000 barrels/day
U.S. Crude Oil Imports from OPEC 5,980,000 barrels/day
Well, 200,000 bpd from the OCS is not enough to wean ourselves from foreign oil and would not have much effect on price.
"They're making fun of a step that every expert says would absolutely reduce our oil consumption by 3 to 4 percent. It's like these guys take pride in being ignorant, you know? They think it's funny that they're making fun of something that is actually true."? -Obama
I think he was referring to some of you on here.

Re: Oil Crisis Over
I don't think anyone on here disputes the fact that inflating your tires might save some fuel. The part we are disputing is the fact that B HUSSEIN expects his energy policy to be based on the American people keeping their tires inflated to the proper pressure. I mean, come on.

Re: Oil Crisis Over
What do you expect from a man who would have his Grandmother, his wife and Ted Kennedy as advisors. I couldn't believe he actually said that. But as always when he does not have a script to read he is lost. That is evidenced by all the stuttering and stammering during the questioning. I was also very surprised he actually admitted his drug abuse in his younger days.
On the question about evil last night he said it needed to be addressed. "Addressed" was not one of the options but it would be the choice of most left wing liberals. Most of the other questions showed a GLARING gap in experience between the two candidates.

Re: Oil Crisis Over
Since all some of you can cay is Obama is so dumb for his idea and can't believe he said it. Well then, how about you prove it wrong, which I am not expecting since Mccain cant do it himself. I see 8 pages of bashing Obama for his idea and saying how stupid it is, but all lacking any proof of why it is so inconceivable. I have stated my facts on why it would work, so I want to see yours on why it wouldn't..so lets hear them?

Re: Oil Crisis Over
OK here is how I see it Obama is CORRECT that the tune-ups and tire inflation WOULD work BUT it is NEVER going to happen #1 because you will never get 100% of the people to do it and as far as I know they were not going to start having road check to make sure everyone cars are at optimum performance......IMHO what Obama did was deflect the issue since it was one that Mcain was/is going to win with the public at large.......
Thank about it the tires argument while true is no different that saying "We do not need Universal healthcare because if everyone in America would just drop down to there proper BMI weight and eat healthy then it would lift such a burden off the system that healthcare would not be a problem.....heck I think I just solved SS as well....If everyone just saved money then they would not need SS to carry them in old age
The point IS IMHO conservation NEEDS to be part of the energy plan but not the WHOLE plan

Re: Oil Crisis Over
Its not like that is his entire energy plan, actually if you look on his website I don't even think it mentioned the tire pressure/tuneup idea really any. He just said that and Mccain and the other trolls took it and ran with it. Like some republicans on this board just took it and ran with it saying thats his energy, even though that idea is proven to save 4 times more than offshore drilling or "Mccains plan" which would kick in about 20 years from now. But I still think the ignorant thing is mocking and ridiculing something that would actually work is the real dumb thing to do, but hey lets vote for John Flip-Flop McSame, just because he's the "american hero".

Kind of like the Dems did with the 100 year comment
IMHO both sides are a joke and neather side is interested in fixing anything.
It is crazy I just do not see how anything will change with the system we have currently have in place
